Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

It was great for our students to finally be able to participate in some of the Twilight Sport activities last Friday morning. Spring weather in Melbourne is notorious for temperature and conditions at both extremes, so it was not surprising that both rain and heat were factors in the rescheduling of events. Most importantly, the children had a great time and participated with a competitive spirit and with a smile on their face.

Congratulations to Darcy B and Eden W for winning their respective `Fran Raskas 600m Run’.

Friday was also Sam D’Argenio’s final day at HT. It was fitting to be able to thank Sam, both at the sporting event and afternoon assembly, for his contribution to HT over the last 3 years. We wish Sam well at his new school.

Ms Liz Humphris will take on the role as Physical Education Teacher in 2024, alongside her leadership position as Wellbeing Leader. Liz is excited to take on this new challenge.

Sausage Sizzle - Monday 20th November

As communicated, we are planning a sausage sizzle following our whole school excursion on Monday 20th November. The Kaboom Kids Sports incursion is a lot of fun (and very loud!) so I’m sure they’ll have a lot of fun.

Sausages will be available for purchase on the day for $2 (no hamburgers or drinks for sale - just sausages in break). Students are asked to bring their money to school (no CDF  Pay for this event).

If parents are able to assist with cooking and / or serving sausages (anytime between 9am - 12pm) your assistance would be greatly appreciated. If so, please email the school office at info@htws.catholic.edu.au with your name and availability.
