We are still feeling the thrills and high vibes in the aftermath of the Middle School Play, Hansel & Gretel, directed by Ms Elise Zijai. I am sure those who attended will agree that the creativity and talent displayed by the cast was incredible.

The show was well received, and audience members enjoyed the journey into the deep dark woods to be met with a real-life flying witch, two trickster hobgoblins and the ever-so-optimistic and clever twins, Hansel and Gretel. Little ones who joined in on the pre-show entertainment at the ‘Lolly Fair’ were met with the Year 9 Drama performance makers, the Catering Crew and Year 9 Service Project students where they enjoyed creating their very own gingerbread houses, feasting on scrumptious lolly skewers and interacting with some wonderful characters from the story. The Year 10 Theatre Craft class, with the first-rate support of Mr Victor Brincat, designed and managed the show backstage. This class provided a myriad of true professionals and their efforts did not go unnoticed.

The 2023 Middle School Play was a great team effort. Thank you to everyone who supported the show either in rehearsal or production. It was awesome!
