Friday Mass

Our next school Mass will be celebrated on Friday17 November. Year 2/3 will be attending.

First Eucharist

Jack A and Jack K will receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time on Sunday 5 November, at the 8.30am Parish Mass. Please keep both of these boys in your prayers, as they prepare for this very special time in their faith lives.

Remembrance Day

On Friday 10 November we will have a liturgy to stop, remember, commemorate and pray for the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice of their lives in war. Their sacrifice means that we in Australia enjoy many freedoms. We value peace in our country and continue to work together for peace in our world. For those brave men and women who have died: We will remember them. Lest we forget.

Recording Light the Way

Our recording day at McCarthy was a very busy day. The Rosary Centre was very impressive and provided a great venue for our project. It was very interesting to get an idea of all the technology that goes into making a recording and the many takes needed to get good footage. Hamish Sparke, an ex St Michael’s student was a great help for us with the technology on the day. It is great to see one of our alumni doing so well. We will commence editing the footage in upcoming weeks and put the finished product on our website and Facebook page.

Mini Vinnies / Catholic Earthcare

On Monday evening 30 October I had the pleasure of presenting to Catholic Earthcare schools, the Earthcare initiatives that we are working on at St Michael’s. We received a lot of positive feedback from other schools who were very impressed by the commitment and enthusiasm of our students.

Families interested in joining the Catholic Earthcare Household Community can do so by signing up on the Caritas Australia Catholic Earthcare site.
