The Light in the Darkness Yr 9 Humanities & English

Our Year 9 students are completing an integrated unit studying the Holocaust in English and Humanities throughout Term 4.  This will culminate in an exhibition that celebrates their work.  We would like to invite our Year 9 families and Viewbank community to attend the exhibition.  This year the exhibition also has an added memorial component.

Launch - Hydra Passion Project

As part of the Viewbank College Launch Passion Project, one Hydra team worked closely with our local retirement village 'Viewbank Gardens'. The students organised a lovely afternoon connecting with our local community. The students and residents enjoyed their time together with an acoustic guitar performance, games, and creating profiles through interviewing residents about their lives and experiences, and in return the students sharing some of their experiences with the residents. Both the residents and students gained so much from this experience and really enjoyed being in each others company.

Thank you to all the students involved who put in lots of planning and work prior to our visit and also to the residents who participated in the day.
