PERMA at BHPS

We are having a positive end to the year wherein we are encouraging our students to look towards 2024 with excitement and hope. Over the past few weeks, our explicit lessons have focused on wellbeing strategies to enable transition success. The aligned character strengths that we have looked at have included Open-Mindedness, Enthusiasm and Hope.

https://wellbeingforprimaryschoolstudents.edublogs.org/ An optimistic outlook can be a mindset that transforms the way students approach change and challenges, and achieve their goals.

Key benefits of positive thinking for students include:

Enhanced mental wellbeing, improved academic performance, better relationships and social skills, and increased resilience and adapatability. The following websites contain information about how to support children with thinking positively.

Learning about and focussing on character strengths, as we do at school is another great way of bringing out the best in children

Best wishes for an enjoyable end to the term with opportunities to reflect on successes and the best of 2023. I also hope that you have a relaxing and joyful festive season.
