All Saints Day Prayer (for November 1st) :

Bless the many parted souls

who lived their lives with grace.

Bless the saints in heaven,

gathered in that special place.

May we tell their stories

and remember all the ways

they lived their faith

and spent their days.

There is glory and reward,

even if at first there’s strife.

Oh, blessed saints, you help us see

a path that’s to eternal life.

May we always hold them dear

and know their life and place.

May we know their inspiration

and aspire to their grace.

Amen

Catholic Mission & Socktober for World Mission Month

This fortnight, classes are beginning to use the Sock-balls made during recent RE lessons in their PE lessons. This has been largely engaging and an eye-opening experience for our students to understand what it’s like to play sport with a hand-made ball, just as those children from impoverished countries do.

Thank you to families who have been encouraging their child(ren) to contribute to their class’ Mission Box. To date, we have raised over $400 from classroom Mission Boxes since the start of this term. Congratulations to Year 1 who were the Week 4 Mission Cup winners and to Year 4 who were awarded the Mission Cup at this week’s Assembly for their amazing donation of just over $170!
