Boarding News

Mrs Kathryn Searle

Head of Boarding

This weekend is our last in boarding for our Year 12s. To celebrate, we are all heading to Mooloolaba Beach for the day on Saturday and will attend the school's annual LUX Exhibition on Friday evening. Please note, the Boarding House will be closed on Friday from 5:15pm to 6:45pm for all staff and students to attend this event.

With next week being the last week for our Year 12s, there are many events being held. All boarders will attend Speech Night on Tuesday evening and the Year 12s Boarders' Farewell Dinner on Thursday evening which is our in-house celebration. The theme is masquerade black and white cocktail dress.

With the above events next week, there will be no personal student driving on either of these nights as all students are to attend. In boarding, we do our very best to transport your child to and from the many and varied co-curricular activities they have. Sometimes, due to staffing and the availability of the driver, the requests cannot be met. We always honour school activities, however, if we cannot meet your personal request, you will be notified. A reminder that it is your responsibility to organise transport for your child to these non-school events if we cannot oblige.

Please advise us urgently of your child's end of term travel arrangements if you have not already done so to: boarding@clayfield.qld.edu.au. The Boarding House will close on Friday 1 December at 4:00pm.
