From the Principal

A reminder that yard supervision begins at 8.45am and ends at 3.45pm. Any children in the yard should be in the care of an adult outside of these times.

Our first 2024 Prep Transition session was held last Friday. We are looking forward to getting to know our new Banyule families over the next few weeks. A parent information evening will be held on Tuesday the 28th of November for new prep families.

Thank you to all the families who have let me know they won’t be returning in 2024. If there are any other families moving, please let me know as we are currently completing our class placements for next year.

All of our students are hard at work preparing for a multitude of end of year events and activities. It is so lovely to see their individual skills and talents shining through.

Some dates for your diary;

House Sports: Our special House Sports Day will be held on Friday the 8th of December. The year levels will be staggered across the day (refer to Compass post). Students can come dressed in their house colour and cheer each other on. Parents are more than welcome to attend.

Carols afternoon:  All welcome to attend this lovely end of year celebration. The students have been busy rehearsing a house carol song, led by our student captains. BYO picnic on the oval from 5pm.

And last but not least some well deserved shout outs...

Many thanks to those who cleaned out their cupboards to donate the mountains of clothing for our second hand uniform stall.

A massive thank you to Danielle Kwong, Suse Baker and Thu Tran for sorting and selling the mountain of clothing. I am happy to say that they raised over $1000!

Many thanks to our outgoing members of School Council who have completed their two-year term.  Sue Mounsey, David Zhao, Will Weijers (Treasurer) and Michael Gibbs (President) we are so grateful for your efforts, energy and valuable contributions that have enabled BPS to continue to be the great school that it is.
