Talk Money

On Monday the 23rd October, Year 5 students had their first “Money Talk” incursion.

The workshops are held in classrooms. We learnt how to save money, manage and spend money and discuss the digitisation of money and different payment options. We learnt about wants and needs and performed a little acting scene, where we learnt about not falling into the trap of peer pressure. Through a series of activities, we examined how people value money differently and how we can have constructive conversations with family and friends about money. “Talk Money” is funded by Ecstra as part of their commitment to help build the financial wellbeing of all Australians. So no more extra money out of your wallet! Interactive workshops are delivered in class by trained facilitators. “Talk Money” goes around Australia to different schools, and we are glad that Langwarrin Primary is one of them. They will have our next incursion, (workshop B) on Monday the 30th of October.
