There’s lots going on around the school at the moment! 

Farm

The farm is now being painted after such a successful fundraising effort with the colour run. The farm will be painted similar colours to what we painted the Cavill Centre. It will really make the area look great! 

Shade Sails

About 2 years ago Mr Hickey was successful in obtaining a grant to install shade sails over the spiderweb and sandpit area.  Due to a range of factors, we are now having these installed and it adds to the extra shade the students have to play in.  Apparently, we are in for a long, hot, dry summer so this comes at a perfect time.  Thanks Mr Hickey. 

Mobile Phones

Please talk with your child about the rules when bringing their mobile phone onsite.  I have had a couple of incidents of inappropriate use of mobile phones especially before school.  Please remind your child that they are to be kept in their bag before school, handed to the teacher upon arrival in the classroom and collected at the end of the day.  Student mobile phone use at school is prohibited. 

Ms Soutar

I would like to acknowledge the contribution Ms Soutar has made to the school over the past term in her role as Acting Assistant Principal.  Ms Soutar has done all of our daily organization (in Mrs Pepper’s absence) and helped keep our school running safely and productively.  I personally have appreciated her support. We are looking forward to Mrs Pepper’s return next week after her much deserved time away! 

November 6th – Curriculum Day

Please remember that this is a Curriculum Day and Team Kids are available for care. 

If you are heading away for a long weekend trip, drive safely and have a wonderful break.  We look forward to seeing everyone back on Wednesday 8th November. 

World Teachers Day

I just wanted to express my appreciation for all those who took a moment to write a nice comment about their teacher/s.  Sometimes one nice comment can really make your day – so thanks! 

2024

If your child will not be at LPS next year could you please notify the office as soon as possible. This will help with 2024 planning.
