Principals' Message

Dear Parents and Carers,
A warm welcome back to Term 2 to all our students and families. We hope the recent break offered you time to rest, reconnect and enjoy special moments with family and friends. As we begin a new term, there is a strong sense of energy and anticipation across our school community. This term promises to be a vibrant and rewarding one, filled with rich learning experiences and many opportunities for every student to grow and thrive. We look forward to partnering with you throughout the term and sharing in the many successes and memorable moments ahead.
ANZAC Day
It was tremendous to see so many students and staff members join us and represent our school community in the traditional ANZAC Day March and commemorations on Saturday. Thank you to our families for your support. We were so grateful for the wonderful attendance and very proud of our students as they commemorated this significant event in our nation's history. Following the march we attended the official ceremony in the Tamworth War Memorial Town Hall, where our captains; Sarah Crittenden and Connor Collyer laid a wreath in honour and memory of all those who have lost their lives serving Australia in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
As we reflect, we are reminded: “Lest we forget.”
“No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
John 15:13
Cross Country
The recent Cross Country event was nothing short of spectacular, bringing together sunshine, school spirit and an incredible display of determination from our students. From the very first race to the final sprint across the finish line, the day was filled with energy, perseverance and proud moments.
It was truly inspiring to see so many students giving their absolute best, pushing themselves to new limits and supporting one another along the way. Whether they were seasoned runners or tackling the course for the first time, every participant demonstrated courage and commitment that made our school community proud.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the many parents and family members who came along to cheer from the sidelines. Your encouragement and support helped create a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere that motivated our students to keep going, even when the course became challenging.
We are especially excited to congratulate those students who have qualified to represent St Joseph’s at the Armidale Catholic Schools Cross Country trials in Barraba later this term. This is a fantastic achievement and we wish them all the very best as they compete at the next level. Well done St Joey's!
May God bless you and your family.
