Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

How good it is to be back with you all for Term 2 with such beautiful weather to help us enjoy being back together.

Tuesday was a fun start for the year as we looked back on Holy Week and the joy that Easter Sunday brought us. The Easter Bonnet Parade followed by Alleluia Day activities allowed us to share our joy over the risen Christ. Thank you so much to Mrs Winduss and staff who organised the variety of activities.

Some of our Year 6 leaders represented our school at the Seaford RSL's Schools Anzac Day Remembrance Ceremony yesterday. This ceremony often has student leaders from all the schools in the area that the Seaford RSL services. We trust it was a worthwhile experience for those involved. Our school will have our own Anzac Liturgy Friday afternoon to which parents are warmly invited.

Next week will be a busy one in school. On Tuesday 28th April our Year 5's have been invited to John Paul College to have an opportunity to experience life as a secondary student. Though of course not all our students will transition to JPC we are sure they will find the experience worthwhile. On Wednesday 29th April some of our students from Years 3-6 will be representing our school at the District Cross Country against students from our local schools. Thank you to Mrs McKenzie for organising this. Our local Friday sport program has been moved into second term this year, rather than third term. This commences on Friday 1st May.

We warmly welcome Mrs Bianca Gilling as our PE teacher for the remainder of the year.

Mrs Le Griffon has now commenced her Maternity Leave and we wish her all the very best. Mrs Gilling was previously employed at St Simon's Rowville before taking leave to begin her own family. We warmly welcome Bianca to our team.

Please keep in your prayers our students currently attending Mass to support their enrolment for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.

God Bless.
