Year 3-6 Beach Program
Wednesday 25th March
Wednesday 25th March, Year 3-6 students travelled to Mills beach in Mornington to spend the day with the MLSC lifesavers. What a brilliant day it was! It was so nice to have the sun shining and the water so clean.
The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves, participating in activities both on land and in the water. Boards, rescues, wade relays run by the lifesavers, and beach walks, flags and sand sculpting run by our staff.
The lifesavers were full of praise – impressed by the student's behaviour, how interested the kids were in learning about water safety and the level of participation.
Everything ran very smoothly & I am forever grateful for the way our staff all just pitch in and make things happen for the students of Baxter PS.
A huge thank you goes to Baxter Woolworths for donating our sunscreen and ALL of our lunch – consisting of sausages, onions, bread, sauce and fruit box drinks/water bottles.
A big thanks to Mr Schneider & Mrs Bremner for coming along to cook the BBQ. It was so great to have them on board. Our sausages were cooked to perfection! Thanks also to Ms Taylor for being so organised – taking photos, handing out medication, engaging students in activities and supporting staff with their tasks.
Thank you to Aila & Charlie for their assistance with the student supervision & keeping the kids enthusiastic and engaged. And of course, we cant forget our office staff – without them & their organisation, days like this would not be possible. What a team!
Baxter students are so lucky…..
