Principal's Message

It is a pleasure to welcome our students, families and staff back to All Saints’ College for the start of Term 2. I hope the recent break provided time for rest, connection and renewal, and that each member of our community returns with a sense of refreshed energy for the weeks ahead. The beginning of a new term always brings with it a quiet optimism—a chance to refocus, reset and recommit to the values that shape our identity as a community.
Our values of empathy, respect, integrity and courage (ERIC) remain at the heart of all we do. They guide our decisions, influence our relationships, and support our students as they learn what it means to contribute thoughtfully and compassionately to the world around them. As we step into Term 2, we continue to encourage students to live these values through simple, everyday actions: choosing kindness, listening with care, showing perseverance, and acting with integrity and humility. We see these behaviours across the campus—often in small, quiet moments—and they are a powerful reminder of the strength of our community.
I also hope your young person has shared with you our College-wide theme for 2026: Active Hope – Creating Tomorrow Together. It is a message that feels especially important in a world facing so many challenges. Across the term, our staff will continue working with students to explore how they can lead, contribute and make meaningful change both within their local communities and in the wider world. Personally, I find this deeply inspiring; every day, I see the creativity, compassion and determination of our young people as they imagine a fairer, kinder and more just future. Their “active hope” gives real substance to our College values and reminds us of the enormous potential within this generation.
The start of a new term brings the chance to re-establish the strong routines and expectations that support excellence in learning. The “small things” matter greatly: wearing the uniform with pride, arriving punctually, greeting others warmly, being prepared for each lesson, and contributing positively. These habits, consistently upheld, build a stable and focused learning environment where every student can flourish. I thank families for their partnership in supporting these expectations, which play such a significant role in fostering personal responsibility and wellbeing.
This week we also enjoyed the Year 3–12 Interhouse Cross Country on our beautiful campus and surrounding local area. Congratulations to all students who participated with enthusiasm, wearing their House colours proudly and challenging themselves over a demanding course. These events are an important part of College life—they strengthen House spirit, create opportunities for students to support one another, and offer a safe space for our young people to develop grit and resilience. My sincere thanks to Katie Clayton and our dedicated Sport, Health & Physical Education team for their professional planning and delivery of a safe, engaging, and memorable event for our students.
I have been warmly welcomed into this special community, and I am deeply grateful for the generosity and openness shown to me so far. While I am still learning the rich traditions and stories that shape All Saints’ College, I have already seen the inclusive and welcoming spirit that makes this place so distinctive. I look forward to meeting many more families throughout the term and encourage you to say hello if you see me around the campus or at upcoming events. These conversations are invaluable as I come to understand our community more deeply.
As we look ahead, I am confident that Term 2 will bring opportunities for growth, challenge and connection—for students, staff and families alike. There will be moments of hard work and moments of celebration; new learning, new challenges and new opportunities.
Thank you for your continued partnership and trust. Together, we will continue to build a community where every student feels known, supported and inspired to be their best.
All the best for a fantastic Term 2.
