RETURN TO TERM 2
Students will return for the new term on Monday 20 April, commencing with Week B of the timetable (Day 6).
On Tuesday, 21 April, the College will hold its Athletics Carnival. This is a compulsory school day, and all students are expected to attend as we come together to build community spirit and house pride. The day is about far more than competition; it provides valuable opportunities for personal growth, strengthening relationships, and fostering a sense of belonging. Through participation and support of one another, students develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and school spirit, while forming positive social connections that extend well beyond the classroom.
Year 12 students may choose to make their own way to the venue. Those who drive are permitted to transport a sibling only. Please note that no other students (including friends or cousins from Years 7–11) may travel with a Year 12 student. All other students are required to arrive at school as usual and will be transported to the venue by College bus.
We appreciate your support in ensuring all students follow these expectations and fully engage in this important community event.
School Drop off and Pick Up:
For the safety and smooth operation of our community, the College has a designated drop-off and pick-up zone located at the front of the school. If you need to park, please do so on the surrounding streets and not within the designated zone.
Parents and carers are reminded that the neighbouring Childcare carpark is not to be used for dropping off or collecting students. This space is reserved for the Childcare Centre and must remain accessible for their families.
We kindly ask all parents and carers to follow road rules at all times and to exercise patience and courtesy during our busy drop-off and pick-up periods. Your cooperation helps ensure the safety and wellbeing of all members of our College community.
Great Cause:
Almost every one of us has been touched by cancer in some way—whether through our own experience or through the journey of a family member, friend, or colleague. It is a reality that connects community in both challenge and compassion, reminding us of the importance of care, hope, and support for one another.
In this spirit, we were proud to have one of our students take the initiative to support those affected by cancer. Through her efforts, Chloe Emslie of Yr 11 recently made a donation of her own hair to Kids with Cancer Foundation - Wigs4Kids.
Her actions reflect the values we strive to live out each day as a Catholic community—showing empathy, service, and a commitment to supporting others. As we are reminded in Scripture, “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14). We thank her for reminding us all of the difference we can make when we come together with kindness and purpose.
Year 7 Camp at the Great Aussie Bush Camp
Year 7 students recently attended camp at the Great Aussie Bush Camp in Kincumber, where they participated in a wide range of activities including high ropes, mud run, survivor challenge, giant swing, canoeing, bush craft, and group initiatives. These experiences encouraged students to challenge themselves, build resilience, and develop confidence.
A key focus of the camp was to strengthen cooperation, communication, and problem-solving skills, while fostering a strong sense of community across the year group. It was wonderful to see students working together, supporting one another, and forming new friendships beyond their homeroom groups.
Thank you to all staff who generously gave their time to attend and support the camp. A special thank you to Mrs Glenda Wilson and Ms Emily Allen for their dedication and hard work in organising such a memorable experience for our students.
