As the term draws to a close, it has been wonderful to see students continuing to embrace the wide range of sporting opportunities on offer. Their enthusiasm, positive attitudes and willingness to participate have been a highlight.

Firstly, a huge congratulations to Luka from Year 5 on being selected to trial for the Mackillop team in football (soccer). This is an outstanding achievement and a testament to Luka’s skill, dedication and hard work. We wish Luka the very best at the next level and are confident he will represent our school with pride.

Last week, Stage 3 students took part in touch football trials for both boys and girls. All students demonstrated impressive skill and we commend everyone who participated. Congratulations to the following students who have been selected to represent our school at the next level:

On Wednesday, we held our annual Cross Country event. Despite a last-minute challenge with the track preparation, students from Years 2 to 6 rose to the occasion. They tackled a demanding course with determination and resilience, with many achieving outstanding times across all age groups. It was fantastic to see such strong participation and effort from everyone involved.

We wish our Year 4 students the very best next week as they take part in their first interschool sport day. They will be competing in football (soccer) against other schools—an exciting opportunity to showcase their skills and teamwork. We are confident they will represent our school with pride.

Special mention to some more of our students who proudly won their Oztag Grand Fianal recently!

Looking ahead to Week 10, our Stage 3 boys and girls teams will be competing in the Netball Gala Day. This is another valuable opportunity for our Year 6 students to engage in sport and enjoy their final year of primary school.
