From Nagle House

NAGLE - GIRLS
The last few weeks have seen a darker start to the day, so it's a little harder to get out of bed. Autumn is beginning to show its presence, but the temperatures have remained hot enough to have pool time for activities.
The girls have had some fabulous conversations around the afternoon tea table, from politics to Debutante Balls. We have celebrated International Women's Day with a poster created about all the objects or parts of the modern car that have been invented or created by women.
A weekly riddle has kept some of the girls thinking nearly all week as they shared their ideas for the answer.
‘I have cities but no houses
I have mountains but no trees
I have water but no fish
What am I?’
The change to the study routine has been met with cooperation from the juniors and Year 10. Over the rest of the year, it will continue to develop, and the bonus of a tutor in the boarding house during study will become obvious.
The girls' commitment to their sports remains a high priority, but all are working hard at balancing their studies with time spent at training and games.
The end of term has rolled around quickly, and the boarders are looking forward to holidays and being home for longer than the weekend.
