We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our staff, whose guidance, expertise, and unwavering support have been instrumental in nurturing the talents and potential of every student.

The term has also witnessed outstanding accomplishments in our sports program, where students have demonstrated exceptional teamwork, perseverance, and pride in representing our college.

Looking ahead, the upcoming parent-student progress conferences provide a valuable opportunity to reflect on achievements, celebrate growth, and set ambitious goals for the remainder of the year. Together, we look forward to continuing a year of excellence, growth, and opportunity for all members of our college community.

Year 12 Outdoor Education: A Journey of Exploration and Learning

The recent Outdoor Education camp for Year 12 students provided a rich and immersive experience, thoughtfully combining environmental exploration with hands-on learning.

Throughout the camp, students participated in a dynamic program that integrated outdoor education with historical and environmental studies. Visits to Sovereign Hill, Narmbool, Lake Wendouree, and Sailor’s Falls offered opportunities to explore a diverse range of natural and historical environments. Highlights included engaging in meaningful Landcare activities and an evening walk through the Botanical Gardens wetlands, both of which deepened students’ understanding of local ecosystems and sustainability.

The camp offered students a valuable opportunity to connect with their surroundings in meaningful ways, fostering a lasting appreciation for the natural world.

A special thank you to Mr. Mollaj, Mr. Taseski, and Ms. Brookshaw for their dedication and support throughout the camp. Their commitment ensured the experience was both highly educational and thoroughly enjoyable for all students.

Celebrating International Women’s Day Across the Copperfield College Community

Copperfield College marked International Women’s Day on Friday 6 March with morning teas across both campuses, creating a meaningful opportunity to reflect on gender equity, respect, and opportunity for all. The day served as a powerful reminder of the achievements, resilience, and contributions of women in all areas of life, as well as a call to continue challenging barriers, advocating for equity, and supporting one another so every girl and woman can thrive.

At the Delahey Campus, alumni Irene Chrisopoulidis (Class of 2005), now Principal Lawyer at Chrisopoulidis & Associates, returned to share her professional journey. She encouraged students to pursue their ambitions with confidence and determination, highlighting the lasting impact of education and the power of self-belief in turning aspirations into reality.

School Captains Neisha Lee Fedele and Jonathan Trinh also shared thoughtful reflections on the significance of the day, recognising those who have shaped and supported their journeys. Their words emphasised the importance of leadership, gratitude, and a collective commitment to building a more inclusive future.

Project 11: Connecting, Reflecting, and Inspiring Futures – March 20

Project 11 gave Year 11 students the opportunity to connect, reflect, and strengthen relationships with peers and teachers, fostering both personal and academic growth. The day aimed to inspire resilience, engagement, and a strong sense of community as students navigated this pivotal stage of senior schooling.

Highlights included a guest presentation by Jerome Khalaf, who shared his experiences, insights, and strategies for goal-setting and overcoming challenges. An alumni-led careers session with Leyla Bezzina, Todd Truong and Shaun Mifsud offered students guidance on academic journeys, career pathways, and navigating life beyond school. Students also participated in the “Letter to Your Future Self” reflection activity.

Outstanding Season for Senior Volleyball Teams

Congratulations to our Senior Boys Volleyball team on an outstanding season! The team progressed all the way to the grand final, narrowly missing victory against Lakeview Secondary. Throughout the competition, they demonstrated exceptional leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Copperfield College is incredibly proud of these athletes and their remarkable achievements.

Our Senior Girls Volleyball team also displayed fantastic sportsmanship and brought strong energy to every match. Although they fell short by just a couple of points, their effort, determination, and commitment were truly outstanding. Well done to all players for representing the school with pride!
