Junior Robotics

Our Year 2 Junior Robotics students have been having an exciting time in the Lunchtime SPIKE Essential Club! Using the LEGO SPIKE Essential kits, students have been exploring the world of building and coding through a fun carnival theme.

To begin, students investigated how different components work, including motors, sensors and the LED light matrix. They then applied this knowledge to follow instructions to build and code their own carnival rides, such as carousels and Ferris wheels. It has been fantastic to see their creations come to life as they programmed motors to spin, lights to flash, and even added sounds to make their rides feel just like the real thing!

Students have also shown great responsibility while working with the equipment, carefully following instructions, looking after all pieces, and working collaboratively with others.

It has been wonderful to see their creativity, problem-solving skills and enthusiasm on display each week!
