House Athletics Carnival

On Thursday, July 25th, on a cool overcast day with several light showers of rain, we held our House Athletics Carnival at the Aero Ovals Little Athletics Complex. It was a wonderful day of competition. The students are to be congratulated for their behavior and for the enthusiasm they displayed.

The age group champions were very closely contested; in several age groups, only one point separated first place from second place. The age group champions were as follows:

A special mention goes to Isabell Alchin who broke a long-standing triple jump record for the 16 year-old girls’ age group. Congratulations Isabell!

In the overall House results, Terragong are to be congratulated for being the winning House. The results were as follows:

I would like to express my heart-felt thanks to all the staff who worked so well throughout the day to make the Carnival a success. I would also like to express a huge thank you to Mildura Little Athletics Club, for setting up the timing gates, operating the timing gates all day and assisting in other ways as well.
