Pirates Versus Mermaids

All Saints' students are well on the way to learning all seven songs that play a large part of the story in our whole school musical. Each afternoon we meet for the last 15 minutes to learn new lyrics and tunes and we are very impressed with the speed at which they are learning them. This coming week we will be focusing on diction, especially word endings. We go a little over the top and REALLY emphasise the ends of words as we speak and then sing them. You can practise this skill at home when reading books or just having general conversation.  Some may say it makes you sound ‘fancy’. 

Parents will be responsible for providing costuming for their little pirates and mermaids. Details of what is required will come home in the next few weeks. The school has ordered a selection of mermaid costumes at $12 each in an offer to help, along with some pirate knick-knacks. We will let you know when these are available so you can check sizing and make purchases.
