In Mathematics, we will focus on:
- Continuing to deepen students’ understanding of and fluency with numbers up to 100 and beyond
- Skip counting by 2s, 5s and 10s from zero and other starting numbers
- Investigating strategies for addition such as counting on, friends of 10, building to the next 10, doubles and near doubles
- Investigating strategies for subtraction such as counting back, friends of 10, halves and near halves
- Examining the outcomes of familiar events using the language of chance and probability
- Recognising and classifying 2D shapes and 3D objects
- Representing information in graph form and interpreting the resulting data
