On display in our Library we have the Childrens’ Book Council Australia CBCA 2024 Shortlisted Books & our very own LPPS Gathering Place Story….to ignite some wild imaginations!

Students will be visiting our new inclusive garden space during Book Week with their class and teacher prior to the Official Opening on 30 August.
Author Visit - Adam Wallace
As inspiration for our Writing Competition drawn in Book WEek, on Tuesday 30 July our Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 students enjoyed a visit by Author Adam Wallace. They were inspired to write stories and draw their own illustrations from their own life experiences. Stepping out of the comfort zone by drawing with eyes closed and pen in the opposite writing hand were just some of the fun ways Adam showed our students how having a laugh can bring lots of positives! Thank you Adam for visiting us at Langy Park in our lead up to Book Week!
Foundation Grandparents Day 2024
We are so thankful for all of the lovely new books that were donated to our Library at last week's Foundation Grandparents Day. These books are now being catalogued and a special donation plaque typed into the front of each book. This is a much loved tradition at Langy Park and students always love to find the book their grandparent donated back when they started school in Prep. The Prep student will be the first to borrow but then look out for all these lovely news books on our shelves!
Premiers' Reading Challenge 2024
Tally update coming at our Book Week Assembly!
Student login and password details are available from your classroom teacher. The highest reading class will receive a $50 scholastic voucher to purchase classroom books. The top 10 students across the school will be recognised at Assembly with a special badge. All the details are located on our school website here.
The PRC continues throughout this Term and ends on Friday 30 September so keep reading and logging your books everybody!

library.langwarrinparkps.vic.edu.au is our Library search website listing every single book on our shelves along with Clickview videos. Instructions on how to log your child into this page are located on the home page, however families can browse without a login too. In this space you can view your child/ren's current loans, loan history, write book reviews, reserve books, and create a reading list. In the Quicklists tab is a Premiers' Reading Challenge tab which lists all the Challenge books in our library.
