Year One/Two News 

We have had an amazing start to Term 3 in the Millie Building! Students have enjoyed sharing their holiday adventures, seeing friends and getting back into the school routine.

Our first week back was spent revising topics from earlier in the year. Students enjoyed making predictions about what might happen in a book before reading and what might happen next during reading. Students worked on writing successful sentences which involved editing their work to ensure they had capital letters, full stops and finger spaces all while ensuring their writing made sense. Students also investigated ways to partition numbers using MAB, number expanders and part-part-whole to complete a range of hands-on activities.

Reminders:

• Student Diaries- please remember to read at home every night and fill out diaries. It is great to see lots of students writing a comment / book title independently. 
• Art Gallery Excursion- thank you to those who have already returned their note to school. We are looking forward to the excursion in Week 5.
