The Term Ahead

It has been great to see students and staff return from their holiday rested and ready for the term ahead. Characteristically, Term 3 is a term with very few interruptions as far as programs such as swimming, gymnastics are concerned, so our weeks this term will focus on some great learning in every classroom.

There are some special dates to plan for in Term 3. We have Book Week in Week 6 starting off with our Book Week Parade on Monday 19th August. Book Week is a chance to celebrate the joy that a book brings, whether you read it yourself, read with someone or have a book read to you. We encourage all children to dress up as their favourite book character for the parade.

We also have Literacy and Numeracy Week in Week 8. On Monday 8th September, Miners Rest K - 6 will run a Family Maths Night starting at 6pm. All family members are welcome to attend and share in just how important Maths is in our day-to-day life. Don't forget to put the date in your calendar, there will be more details to come.
