Pastoral Wellbeing
A big thank you to all families for attending your child's learning conversation. These goal setting conversations are particularly important in developing the shared responsibility for the achievement of these goals. We ask you to display these goals in a prominent place for regular check in on how your child is progressing with them, and as a reminder of the effort needed to put in to achieve anything!
Next week is Bullying No Way week. Bullying No Way Week is all about the important roles school, family and community play in helping young people feel accepted, respected and that they have a place where they belong. This year's theme is: Everyone Belongs.
When we feel like we belong, bullying struggles to find a place. It's about embracing who we are, respecting everyone's differences and standing up together against unkindness.
Belonging means we all have a role in preventing bullying. We're encouraged to speak up and create a safe place where everyone feels supported and respected, and our voices are heard and valued.
During the week we will be engaging students in meaningful discussions and activities aimed at promoting empathy, understanding, and respect for diversity. We encourage parents and carers to take this opportunity to have open and honest conversations with their children about the impact of bullying and what they can do if they need support. You can visit the Bullying No Way website for tips around how to have this discussion.
