Girls AFL and Boys Netball Gala Day 

On Thursday the 18th of July students from Year 5 and 6 competed in the AFL Girls and Netball Boys Gala Day competition held at Marymede College where students played schools within our district.

Two AFL Girls teams represented the school, each playing 6 games throughout the day. There were some terrific matches played, with many highlights such as winning goals, strong marks and consistent pressure. I would like to congratulate all the girls who participated in a team as they showed a fantastic level of persistence, never giving up when faced with challenges, determination and teamwork. 

Well done to Jada, Mahi, Enzora, Mia, Isabella, Angelique, Aylin, Leah, Ivel, Smiha and Chelsea for scoring goals for their teams and special mentions to Neveah, Harper and Aimy for their efforts in their role.

EV1 finished the day with 3 wins and EV2 with 2 wins. Well done to all students involved!! 

Epping Views Primary School entered 2 Boys Netball teams. Both teams competed in their respective Divisions 1 and 2 against 6 other schools from the district. 

EVPS Green competed in Division 2 and played with lots of conviction and teamwork. The first game they were unlucky to lose 3-1 to Morang South but bounced back to beat Edgars Creek PS in the following round. 

The other games were hard fought and EVPS Green came away with a respectable 6th place. 

Shoutouts to Issac D (5DG) and Hargun B (6JC) on terrific performances across their pool games.

EVPS Black competed in Division 1 which was another tough, competitive pool. They went unbeaten until coming up against the other unbeaten team in Marymede. It was an extremely tight match, with both teams coming at each other in scoring waves. 

Alas, EVPS went down in the final minutes losing 3-5, but not coming away empty handed with the team awarded the runners up in Division 1. 

Well done to EVPS Black and congratulations to all the Boys and Girls teams on a successful day!
