Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Preps were very excited to celebrate their 100 days of school. It was so lovely to see so many parents enjoying the celebration with their children and another life milestone. Time just flies by when you have children and are watching them and supporting them to grow!!!
Cyber safety
There is an issue in our senior school with cyber bullying. It is a small group of people being very unkind and targeting others. All of this is happening outside of school hours on platforms that have age limits. None of our students are eligible (old enough) to be allowed to have TIK TOK, snapchat or any other social media platform.
If you come across any images or comments that are inappropriate, please
We will be sending out all the links and things you can do to help keep your students safe online in the next couple of weeks
Phones at school
Across Victoria the is a Department of education ban on having mobile phones in the school grounds and in class. This means that any phone in hands or in sight we will remind and explain. If this keeps happening the phone will be confiscated and parents will be required to pick phone up from office. The next step is to ban bringing the phone to school at all. If parents are worried about contact after school the student will be able to get assistance from the office to call you.
Students are able to get their phones out as soon as they leave school grounds so please make sure you remind students to have their phones in their bags until they are locked in the safe in class and back in bags until they leave school grounds in the afternoon
Every learning day counts!!!!
An indicator of student wellbeing, engagement and inclusion is their attendance rate. Attendance and teaching good routines and habits, supports connection and belonging to school and peers and confidence in learning. While its not good to be at school when you are sick, we need to strive to be here every day so we don’t miss any important new learning or practising our reading writing and maths.
