From the Assistant Principal, Cocurricular
As our football and tennis teams approach the pointy end of the season, with their final regular season games this Saturday, and finals commencing next weekend, I remind everyone that correct uniform is required for all teams and all games.
I also remind everyone to re-familiarise yourselves with the ISA Code of Conduct (attached below).
Our rugby teams still have three weeks of competition remaining, with no finals. Our teams will finish with two home rounds as a fitting conclusion to the season.
I wish all teams well for their final weeks of winter sport.

Football
Some amazing games on the weekend, I particularly want to highlight the 14B’s 4-2 win, the 13A’s 1-0 win and the 2nd XI 2-1 win, whilst not the only wins on the weekend, for many of these boys it was their first victory against rivals St Patrick’s.
This weekend sees the last round of games, Monday and Wednesday training will only continue for teams making it through to the semi finals and grand finals.

Rugby
A mostly successful weekend resulting in building our cohesiveness leading into a tough weekend away against Oakhill. There was an abundance of tries scored by the 16A’s dominating the breakdown against Central Coast Grammer school. Well done to the 3rd XV and 2nd XV pictured below on their convincing wins. The team of the round goes to the 13B’s with their dominant performance over the Barbarians at Macquarie University.
Rugby Captain 2024
Congratulations to Luke Haldane on the successful selection as Rugby Captain for 2024. Luke has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities both on and off the field which is evident throughout his school life. His ability to inspire teammates through his unwavering dedication and passion for playing rugby is evident in every match. He is well respected amongst his peers which is a credit to his lead by example attitude on the Rugby field.
Luke provides a presence that all aspiring Pius Rugby players can look up too. His talent on the rugby field is a result of Luke’s hard work and determination during training. Resulting in an unwavering ability to keep pushing forward.
