Year 8 Soccer
Thursday July 18
Both the girls and boys soccer teams had a GREAT day out!
The girls team were straight in the final Vs Lilydale Heights. Spirits were so high and within minutes, Minah had got the first goal! A great competitive match and the girls played amazing! Final score was 3-2 with Lilydale High School coming home with the win!
Special mentions go to the MVP of the day Minnah Clarke, who scored 2 goals and made a great captain! Keira Ellis also stood out as a strong goal keeper/vice-captain and Mila Ilic who scored a goal!
Gold medals (cheeseburgers) were awarded to the goal kickers by Ms Smith!
The boys team played 3 competitive matches and then a friendly game. Schools included Lilydale Heights, Yarra Hills, Emerald and Healesville High.
With some strong teams, the boys fought hard and showed great skill and determination. MVP went to Dylan Weinert.
The girls were a fantastic CHEEER SQUAD showing outstanding support for their boys team!
A big thank you to Mr Gilbee, for being a great coach!

Intermediate Table Tennis
Wednesday July 31
We entered 4 boys teams into the competition, and despite not making it through to the grand final, we are incredibly proud of the effort and teamwork displayed by all the players.
Making it to the semi-finals is a commendable achievement in itself, and it reflects the dedication and talent of the entire team.
Kane Pimblett was MVP for the day, lifted when we needed him too and handled the pressure well!

Senior Girls football
Monday July 22
The girls had a very successful day at the EMR Senior Girls Football round. With only losing to the champions of the day by 1 point, and many other small wins on the field, it’s safe to say the team left feeling accomplished. Our girls were extremely determined, entering every pack with confidence. Not once did I see a head down in disappointment, smiles all around.
I’d also like to give a special shout out to our bus driver Kev (Kevin). This year was my 6th year competing for the school in football, and each year Kev has been there to support the team. Our amazing bus driver stays to watch and, goal umpires our games for us. Kev also helps out in the half time huddle, giving some tips and giving the girls unfamiliar to the sport some confidence. His support doesn’t go unnoticed, and we can’t thank Kev enough. Thanks Kev!

Junior Girls Netball
Wednesday August 7
WOW, what a GREAT day it was at Waverley Netball Centre! All the girls played brilliantly throughout the day, showcasing their talent and teamwork in every match.
Congratulations to our Year 7 and 8 teams for WINNING their pool to advance to the finals.
Unfortunately, the Year 7 team couldn't beat Box Hill in the semi-final, despite a great effort. The Year 8 team were brilliant in the semi-final having a convincing win over Norwood. The Grand Final against Rowville was a goal for goal tussle for three quarters, but lost by three goals in the final quarter.
Thank you to the parents for coming along and supporting the teams during the competition.
Additionally, a BIG thank you to Mrs Crotty and Miss Edwards for their dedicated coaching!
