Year 5/6 Boys Greater Western Region Soccer

Last Wednesday, a team of Year 5/6 boys participated in the Greater Western Region Soccer competition. They proudly represented our school and successfully qualified for the final against Ballarat Grammar. Despite a hard-fought match that extended into two rounds of overtime, they were narrowly defeated by a single goal. We are incredibly proud of their effort and sportsmanship!

The 'Shamrock Squad' takes home the trophy!

Congratulations to our U8 Futsal team 'Shamrock Squad' made up of Hamish, George, Fergus, Jack, Tommy, Zayne and coach Nick Whitear who won the U8 division grand final on Tuesday night! 

 

Term 3 Netball Tournament

Dear Families,

Ballarat Play with Pride is hosting The Pat Darroch Primary School Netball Tournament for Term 3. To any students and families who wish to participate feel free to email Mr Valentine with your child's name and preferred night to play and they will be added to a team

 

  • 8 weeks participation with finals
  • 4:05pm, 4:55pm & 5:45pm match times
  • Sections: Grades 3/4 and Grades 5/6
  • Teams may be graded into sections, based on previous year performance
  • Entries close: Tuesday the 22nd of July
  • Teams must provide their own set of bibs
  • Term 2 does not include finals, participation only
  • Match Fees $45 per game, per team Paid to the school office.

Parents and Guardians are more than welcome to be involved and coached teams on the night and be the primary contact for a specific team.

Wet Day Creativity

Yesterday, during our wet day lunchtime, we asked Mr. Shields if we could build a house out of MAB blocks. We collaborated and used good citizenship skills to create this terrific mansion. It took us all our lunchtime, and we were very pleased with our creation.
