Junior School Winter Sports

Last Friday, our Junior School students showcased their talent, teamwork and perseverance during the Winter Sports Day and what a day it was! Despite the chilly temperatures and persistent rain, our students gave it their all after weeks of dedicated training.

A huge congratulations to all students who participated. Special mention goes to two of our soccer teams who topped their pools, with one team progressing through to Division, an outstanding achievement!

Our T-Ball team displayed grit and determination in challenging, cold conditions, and our Netball teams showed incredible spirit, playing through heavy rain with enthusiasm and resilience.

A big thank you to the Senior School students, Riley, Dalton, Hamish, Sienna, and Rachel who not only umpired on the day but also gave up their time each week to assist with training.

We are also incredibly grateful to our dedicated staff who braved the wet and cold to coach, supervise and support our teams. Your commitment made the day possible. Well done to everyone involved on a memorable Winter Sports Day!

Year 7 & 8 Interschool Netball

We are very proud of our 2025 Netball Teams who braved wet and windy weather conditions to work their skill on the courts at Friday's Netball Tournament.

Year 7 students Niah, Eliza R and Mickayla created some heat with their determined shooting, while Valencia, Eliza P, and Sienna all worked their passing game to achieve a dominant win over Brauer.

Year 8 took it up another level to pound out three victories over the course of a high energy day. Breanna, Heidi, Lil, Liz, Lottie, Tillie and Amelie were all strong contributors showing their ability to move the ball with energy down the court, outwork the opposition on defense, and score some beautiful buckets as a united team.

SSAA Warrnambool Region Clay Target Competition

On Monday 2nd June, students from King's College took part in the SSAA Warrnambool Region Clay Target competition in Laang.

Thankfully last week's rain had not yet arrived to dampen the enthusiasm of the competitors, and despite a crisp start to the day the sun shone and the wind was light making the shooting consistent and fun.

We had 12 schools and 120 students compete, from as far as Edenhope, Hamilton, Ballarat and Geelong.

Bella R (Year 12) placed second in Senior Girls, and Breanna A (Year 8), in her first year of shooting, placed first in Junior Girls. Great effort by all our students who competed.
