What an amazing 2 weeks of exciting activities for our students. Our 3 - 6 students participated in the athletics carnival at Coburg Athletics track with students participating in both track and field activities including running, jumping, and throwing. Those students who placed 1st or 2nd in their event have been invited to proceed to the District Athletics on the 21st of August. Information will go home to those families regarding the details.
Our Prep to Two students also participated in a fun athletics carnival at school with mini games resembling traditional athletics track and field events including relay races and throwing activities. There was a lots of fun and house spirit shown on the day.
Our Year 5/6 students have participated in an online Kids Helpline - Peer Pressure incursion and the 3/4 students participated in an online Kids Helpline - Anti-Bullying incursion. Very important messages were relayed to our students in both these sessions. I encourage you to talk to your child about their connections and thoughts from the sessions.
We had some 5/6 students make their way down to Pascoe Vale Girls College and some 3/4 students participated in Glenroy Secondary College's Digitec competition. It is great to see PVN partnering with our neighbouring secondary schools creating a strong partnership.
To add to all this excitement we celebrated Science Week this week with a super fun dress up day and I know lots of families are super keen for next week's Science Night. Mr Lytton has been very busy preparing for this event!!
Please write a letter to inform us if you and your family not be at PVNPS in 2026. This information is required as we start to plan for classes for 2026. We will miss you!
We have a large number of prep enrolments already for 2026. Please make sure if you have another sibling to enrol that you do this as soon as possible.
Our prep transition program begins this term from 9:30 - 10:30 on:
All enrolled students should have received a confirmation letter with documents containing all transition and prep dates for the 2026 school year.
The parent opinion survey will open up to our families and we are seeking your feedback. A link will be sent out via COMPASS on Monday 18th August. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement.
Your opinions are important to us and will contribute to identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.
We will be holding our annual Father's Day stall on the 2nd of September. We are seeking donations from families and appreciate your community support. Items can be dropped off at the office to Narelle or Antoinette. If you can help on the day, please also let the office know as we will need assistance pricing items, setting up on the day, selling and packing up the stall. We hope to have this all done by recess time and would appreciate your assistance.
We look forward to welcoming Mrs Crane back from her relaxing holiday next week. We missed you!
