During Term 2, Holy Family students have been busy with many performances.
Kingergarten made puppets, sang and played ‘If You Go Into the Bush’ by Bob Brown and ‘The Tree House’ a mini musical by Scott Browne.
Year One performed ‘The Little Red Hen’ by Michael and Glenis Zala while Year Two entertained us with the familiar tale of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ by Niki Davies.
Stage Two students made Aboriginal and Bush Band instruments to play and commemorate the early stages of our Australian history. From our sea going travellers, bush rangers, gold diggers, swagman and dancing sheep we were entertained by our talented students who sang and played their own made instruments.
Our CAPA group entertained us with the tales of Boris BeStinky in ‘The Dragon Returns’ by Rob Fairbairn and Mark Carthew. Set in medieval times our musical melodrama contained lots of hissing, booing and cheering to encourage our hero, Lord Byron, the Brave. The CAPA group are now rehearsing a new musical ‘Hoodwinked’ based on the story of Robin Hood while Seniors are entering the fantasy world of ‘Peter Pan’ with pirates, mermaids, warriors, talking crocodiles and dogs.
