Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Celebrating Grandparents and Special Friends

Today we had the joy of welcoming our grandparents and special friends into the classroom, celebrating Mass, followed by a delightful morning tea at the school. The performances from our wonderful student musicians and Kindergarten were amazing. I’m certain our grandparents were wowed by the incredible talent of our students.

We are truly blessed by the presence of our grandparents in our lives. They watch over us, guide our families, and help us in countless ways. Thank you, grandparents, for all your love and support! We express our heartfelt gratitude to Father Thomas for leading us in the celebration and the beautiful parishioners who volunteered their time to be support grandparents.

A special thank you to Mrs Stella and Mrs Dalle-Nogare, the staff, and all the parents for your hard work in making this event so special. Your dedication and effort are greatly appreciated.

A BIG thank you to the parent committee and the helpers from Year 3 who set up the morning tea and the generous donations of scrumptious goodies—it was absolutely wonderful!

Semester 1 Reports

Over the past few weeks, I have had the privilege of reading all the Holy Family first-semester student reports. These reports, reflect the progress each child has made in our core business—learning! I am extremely grateful to the teachers for their dedication and commitment to providing quality feedback to parents.

It is evident that the teachers have invested considerable time in understanding the children they have worked with throughout the semester. They have effectively communicated each child’s achievements and identified potential areas for future focus. Their insights and observations highlight the personal growth and academic development of each student, ensuring that parents are well-informed about their child's progress.

Attendance

I would like to thank all the parents who bring their child/children to school on time. I am urging others who are consistently running late to check their morning routine and make adjustments so that your child/ children come to school on time. Consistently coming to school late has an adverse effect on children’s learning outcomes so let’s work together to eliminate arriving late at Holy Family.

School attendance is important as it maximises life opportunities for children by providing them with education and support networks. Positive and regular engagement with schooling enhances academic and wellbeing outcomes for children. Supporting children to arrive on time and to regularly attend school is a joint responsibility of all parents, students, the school and the wider community. We need to ensure that our children have the best possibilities to thrive and flourish to their full potential.
