Principal's News

Dear Families and Friends of Trinity Primary School,

Next Monday we will begin the final week of Term 2 and teachers and children will be busy finishing their learning for Semester One. On Friday you will all receive, through the parent portal, your child's Semester One Report. As shared earlier this term, we will be scheduling the Parent, Teacher and Child meetings for Week 3 next term with a focus, not only on student reports but on new learning goals for Term 3 and Semester Two

Staying Healthy

These past few weeks there have been quite a few members of the school community, both staff and students unwell and we again remind families then while children are sick it is best to keep them at home until fully recovered and can return to school feeling better.

Condolences

Yesterday I attended the funeral of Mrs Michelle Moore who was most recently the Principal of St Joseph's School in Malvern. Michele sadly passed away after a long battle with illness and will be dearly missed by all those who knew her and worked in Catholic Education over many years with her. The mass was attended by many friends and colleagues from MACS schools. Our thoughts and prayers are now with her family.

Building Project Update

Yesterday our architects met with many of our staff to review the current plans and directions for our building project which will begin later this year. We will begin to look at how this will affect us in Term 4 and the beginning of next year as we will be required to relocate some classes in order for demolition of some spaces to begin. We know it will be a challenge but I am sure if we all work together the end result will be worth the effort.

As part of the design faze our Architects will follow the Form Follows Faith process to incorporate aspects of our school's history, traditions and religious dimensions.

Clubs at Trinity

As you know the Clubs Program at Trinity is a big deal and our students are always coming up with new and amazing ideas. What we love is their enthusiasm, organization and excitement in starting new clubs with and for each other. One of the latest is the 'Recyling Heros Club' who meet each week in the MPR  to learn about and implement recyling initiatives for our school community.

MINI VINNIES

What a grest effort our Mini Vinnie Leaders have made in leading our food collection for the " Fill the Van '' Project this term.  A huge thank you to our very generous families who have contributed to this very worthy cause. Our donations were collected by Francis from the Richmond Churches Food Centre and Community Hub that supports Richmond families in need. This service operates from St Ignatius Parish.
