Year 9 News

Morrisby Career Tool

The Morrisby Career Tool is a resource given to all year 9 students to help them in their future career planning. It is designed to help them reflect on their skills, talents, interests and match them with potential future careers. The results of which are revisited in year 10 Careers classes as well as by the careers team as they move into years 11 and 12.

Students with full access to the program will have their results and profile available to them once they finish their secondary education as well. For students to have full access to these profiles, permission forms need to be returned to the school. These were given out early in the year and are available by contacting Dean Berger in the careers office.

Profiling - Week 11, Term 2

All year 9 students will be participating in the careers profiling tool for Morrisby in week 11 of this term (week starting 30th June). Could parents please return the form that was given earlier in the year to ensure that their student can take advantage of the full profile. Forms can also be accessed by contacting Dean Berger in the Careers Office.

Morrisby Career Interviews - Week 4, Term 3

All year 9 students will have the opportunity to meet with a careers counsellor to discuss their Morrisby profile and their potential future career opportunities. This will occur in the week starting 11th August. Students will come out of class for part of a period to meet with an external careers advisor that is visiting the school.
