From The Principal

Dear Families,
Welcome back to Term 3. I hope the holiday break offered your family a chance to rest and recharge. We’re excited to return for another term of purposeful learning, meaningful connection, and joyful celebration across all areas of school life.
Term 3 begins with Opening Worship on Monday 21 July, a special time to gather as a community. In the weeks ahead, we look forward to Stage 3 Swimming (week 1), Book Week celebrations (week 5) and the Junior Primary Showcase (week 7). Our Foundation students will be celebrating their 100th day of school later in the term - a great celebration! I will be introducing prospective families to our school through Principal Tours in weeks 2, 5 & 8.
We encourage you to join us for our regular worship and assemblies throughout the term, as well as school community events like the Learning Enrichment Expo (Week 4), Book Week & Parade (Week 5), and the Mark Le Messurier parent workshop (Week 8), which continue to highlight our school’s vibrant and connected culture.
This evening, Thursday 17th July, we are pleased to have an information session presented by a representative from the Office of Education and Child Development (OECD) sharing about the partnership with the South Australian Government. In 2026 Curiosity will be delivering the 'Flying Start' program as part of the 3-year-old pre-school initiative. Please join us if you are interested in finding out more.
Time: 7pm
Location: Curiosity ELC – 402 Montague Road, Para Vista
As you may have seen on social media - the playground works have started! There have been many other preparations for these works around the school including a few more strategically placed four square courts and additional indoor and outdoor equipment. I cannot wait to see the final product.
Lastly, I would also like to take a moment to recognise the recent media attention on the early childhood sector that may have raised questions for families. Please be assured that Curiosity ELC continues to be a place where children are deeply known, valued, and safe. The School, Imagination OSHC and Curiosity ELC all operate with strong oversight, strict policies for child safety, and a clear commitment to quality. We are blessed with a team of experienced educators and staff who place children’s wellbeing and development at the centre of all they do.
We deeply value the trust you place in us to nurture and guide your child’s learning journey. May this term be one of meaningful growth, joyful achievement, and strengthened connections for all our families.
Blessings for the term ahead,
Evie
