Cyber safety lessons in schools are essential to prepare students for the digital world they interact with daily. Teaching children how to recognize online threats, protect personal information, and behave responsibly helps prevent cyberbullying, scams, and identity theft. These lessons also foster critical thinking and digital citizenship, ensuring students grow into safe and responsible internet users.

Georgina Manning 

Social and Emotional Learning is a priority for us all at OLA!  We welcome Georgina Manning back to OLA this year presenting Supporting Anxious Little Minds'  on Thursday 7th August at 7pm.  Georgina is the Director of Wellbeing for Kids, an educator, counsellor and a psychotherapist. Georgina has many years of experience working in schools supporting children and parents, and facilitates regular parent seminars in schools, school professional learning days for educators, and is a National speaker for wellbeing events.  Parents will be supported to teach their child how to:

 

  • Lessen anxiety
  • Use practical strategies to cope with anxiety
  • Simple self-regulation strategies
  • Cope with life’s ups and downs
  • Support their child through anxious feelings
  • Become more resilient & face fears

To support parents in attending this important parent information session we are offering babysitting for children (toilet trained) in the library. Please note no devices to be sent with the children as we are unable to supervise this.  Please RSVP on the Operoo to attend and if you require babysitting by 4th August. Thank you
