National Science Week: Get Ready for Some Chemical Chaos!
We’re excited to announce that our school will be celebrating National Science Week in Week 4, on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th August with Chemical Chaos!
As a lead-in to our Term 4 Inquiry units on Chemical Science, students will dive into the world of chemistry through a variety of fun, hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity, experimentation and discovery. This exciting week will act as a provocation to ignite their interest and set the stage for deeper learning in the term ahead.
Parents and carers are invited to join in the fun with their children, as an opportunity to share in the wonder of science and learning in action!
A timetable for class sessions will be sent out soon, so you can plan ahead to attend your child’s session. We look forward to a week filled with excitement, colour, and a little bit of Chemical Chaos!
Celebrating National Tree Day at School! 🌳
This week, our students got their hands dirty celebrating National Tree Day. Thanks to the generous donation of plants and shrubs from the Kingston Council, our Grade 2 students, with the helping hands of some Grade 5/6 students, planted new greenery on Monday.
It was an exciting, hands-on experience that brought learning to life and helped students connect with nature in a meaningful way. National Tree Day is a fantastic opportunity for students to do something positive, for both the environment and themselves.
And we’re not done yet! More planting is planned in the coming weeks with our Grade 1 and 2 students, so stay tuned for more green thumbs and growing smiles!

The Grade 3/4 students were so proud to have planned and built these bee hotels!
It was lovely to see the Grade 5/6 classrooms buzzing with excitement for our Inquiry Expo on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning. The senior students showcased their learning for our Biological Science RE/Inquiry unit on the study of living things with a focus on animals titled 'Adapt, Survive & Thrive.' Our students loved presenting to the younger students, parents and members of our community who attended. It was amazing to see their wealth of knowledge on display and immense pride in their work. Well done!
