Class

Welcome back to Term 3. This term will be a very busy one, so it is important to get organised with the many activities planned as well as all your assessments. We suggest using a diary or planner to map out all your upcoming activities. Please let one of the Class team know if you need support with this.
This term we say farewell to Mr Chao who is leaving us in Week 3 to teach at a College in Perth and be closer to his family. Mr Chao has worked at the College since 2023 teaching both the General and ATAR Mathematics courses. We wish him all the best for the future.
In Week 3 we welcome Mr Kevin Fisher who will be our new Mathematics teacher. Mr Fisher is an experienced teacher, currently teaching Mathematics General and ATAR Applications, Methods and Specialist courses.
Finally, the chicks have arrived in school as part of the Year 11 Chicken Feed Investigation. Students will be supporting Miss Jury in caring for the chicks, which will be on sale on Open Day.

Tales from the English Room with Mrs Packham and Her Amazing Students!
It’s already shaping up to be a very busy term in the English Room, with plenty of creativity and meaningful learning opportunities for all students.
Our Year 12s have hit the ground running. They’ve started the term by writing persuasive speeches and creating eye-catching posters to promote a change they’re passionate about. From there, they’ll be exploring a range of texts—including speeches, advertisements, and media messages—that aim to inspire change in the world around us and toward the end of the term, the students will reflect on their own identity by creating a multimodal (multimedia) presentation based on a playlist of songs that represent who they are. It’s a wonderful way to end off their time in Year 12 English and link music with meaning and personal expression.
Our Year 11s are also off to a great start. They’re exploring current job ads and learning how to write their own professional resumes and cover letters for real-world roles. After that, they’ll team up with a partner to design a social media campaign and write an email pitch to promote a product to a chosen audience—combining creativity, digital skills and persuasive language.
It’s a pleasure to be working with the Year 12s in their last term at Cunderdin Ag as they prepare to head off into the workforce and begin the next exciting chapter of their lives.
Here’s to a term full of creativity, growth, and exciting learning experiences!
