Writing

Our Kinder and Year 2 students engaged in a variety of enriching activities that enhanced their literacy skills and continued to foster their love for reading and writing. 

One of the highlights was watching the short film "Lava," which captivated our students and sparked discussions about character traits. They explored three key character traits from the film and then participated in hands-on learning by creating their own volcanoes, each representing a character's traits through unique designs and features. This engaging project allowed them to express their creativity while reinforcing their understanding of narrative elements.

Maths

Our Kinder and Year 2 students engaged in a range of learning that strengthened their mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills. Throughout the unit we explored the concept of measurement through hands-on activities, where students measured various objects around the classroom using non-standard units, such as blocks and paperclips. 

We also enjoyed interactive games that focused on addition and subtraction, helping them develop their number sense in a fun and engaging way.
