This week in Reading we are learning to ask and answer questions from a text.

VOCABULARY

Questions: something that you say or write in order to ask a person about something. 

Literal: it is right there in the text, I can point to the answer.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Before you begin, and as you are reading a book with your child, encourage them to ask some questions about the text. 

When you finish reading, ask your child if any of their questions were answered in the book. Can they point to the part of the book that answered their question?
