Measuring

Students have been learning about measuring using informal units. The students have used all sorts of materials to measure, such as their hand spans, teddy bears, paper clips and popsicle sticks. They remembered that when we measure, we must follow two important rules, no gaps and no overlaps, and measuring from end to end. Students engaged in a range of measuring activities, such as measuring their body length, objects in the classroom and playground. 

Writing

Students are learning to present multi-modal texts legibly. To start this unit off, the students created a piece of writing using emojis, on an app called Book Creator. They had so much fun exploring the different functions in the app and creating a fun little story with their partners. They used functions such as text, photos, video recording, voice recording, drawing a background for the story.
