President News

Sarah Clarke and Dave Crosby have been busy organising the Fete. It really is coming along nicely. Some of the stalls that we can confirm are, a Fairy Den, Plant Stall, Cake Stall, The Wishing Tree, BBQ, Malaysian Food Stall, Italian Desserts, Christmas Stall, Kids Activities, Mini Vinnie’s, Second Hand Clothes, Books and Toys and the big one this year LAZER TAG!!! There are still more stalls being finalised. There is still time to help. Ultimately Sarah and Dave would love at least 5 more volunteers to help to run a stall. Can you help? Do you have a friend that can do it with you? It’s easier then you probably think. If you can’t commit to running a stall can you help for just an hour or 2 on the day? We still need lots of helpers. Please reach out to Sarah on 0417 518 099 or myself (Jo Ward) on 0429 831 382.

Over the holidays please think about planting some seedlings, veggies or flowers, or some cuttings or succulents. Frances Miller on the Plant Stall will be happy to take anything that you are willing to part with.

Spring cleaning? Please send your QUALITY used clothes books and toys into us next term. Also Sarah is really keen for any ream of fabric you might have lying around the house. This will help to decorate different stalls. Glass jars, please don’t throw them away. Send them in next term. Ask your neighbours, ask grandparents and aunties and uncles. We are hoping to be able to make fairy gardens at the fete.

Think about baking a cake. The cake stall is usually a popular stall. Unfortunately last year we didn’t get many donations. Cakes, Slice, biscuits whatever yummy baked goods you want to provide we'll take it. Not a very confident baker? Then please go and grab a packet mix or 2! We really want cakes, cakes and more cakes. You were all so generous at the Athletics Carnival I’m hoping you will help out again and drop something off either on the day of the Fete or the Friday the 3rd of November to the front office.

Have you missed a donation day (like me) and still want to send it in? Please do we will take it. Chocolates and lollies were a little light on this year and we will still be happy for more donations. Thank you thank you thank you! So many of you have been so generous already and we really thank you for that. Thank you to all those who have donated goods and their time already. Thank you to those who have already sold their raffle tickets and sent them back. Do you want/need more? There is always more to sell.

Besides the Fete, what is happening in term 3? Disco!!! Disco will be Thursday the 19th October. Years K-2 will be 5.30 pm -6.15 pm and Years 3-6 at 6.30 pm -7.30pm . $2 entry. We have raised our money for the PA system already!! So I’ve asked Belinda and the rest of the P&F to come up with some more ideas where to spend the money.

The final social event will be Picnic and Carols on Friday the 1 st December. Please save the date and more details will come later. Enjoy the holidays!
