Forest School

Some of the highlights of Forest school sessions this week have included visits to the dam (thanks to parents Penny and River!) and learning how to set up the camping stove to cook popcorn – a perfect rainy-day activity.

The popcorn was delicious, the kids were very impressed and announced that it smelt like ‘being at the movies’!

It was discovered that despite the recent rain, the water level of the dam has continued to drop. On the plus side, it has made it easier to locate yabbies! Incredible biology lessons occur incidentally due to exploration in this habitat. A sighting of a blue tongue lizard was very exciting for some grade 1/2s on a dam visit on Wednesday!
