SUPPORTING YOUR CHILD WITH SCHOOL TRANSITIONS
Starting or returning to school can be a big transition. Children might need extra emotional support and rest in the first few weeks. The Raising Children Network website provides some practical ways that you can support your primary or secondary child to settle into school.
RESILIENCE, RIGHTS AND RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS
Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) is a program designed to teach students social and emotional skills such as coping and problem-solving. We focus on developing resilience by helping students understand how to manage challenges, bounce back from setbacks, and seek help when needed.
It also supports students to build healthy, respectful relationships, aiming to reduce violence and improve wellbeing. RRRR aims to improve students understanding of human rights, including their own rights to be safe, respected and heard. These are lifelong skills that support mental health, learning, and personal growth.
During Term One, all primary classes will be participating in lessons from Topic 1 – Emotional Literacy, and Topic 2 – Personal Strengths
