Who We Are

Central idea

By exploring how our bodies move, we develop the physical and social skills needed for healthy learning and play.

This term, Prep students are taking part in our Perceptual Motor Program (PMP) as part of the transdisciplinary theme “Who We Are.” The program supports children’s physical, social, and emotional development by helping them learn how their bodies move, how to cooperate with others, and how to build positive relationships through play.

Through rotating activity stations, students will develop key skills such as balance, coordination, spatial awareness, problem solving, and teamwork. Each session encourages children to follow routines, take turns, support classmates, and gain confidence in their physical abilities, problem solving and teamwork.

PMP helps lay a strong foundation for movement, wellbeing, and classroom readiness, all while having fun and learning together.
