DELF Primary Exam

Dear parents,

The DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française) certification is back this year!

What is the DELF?

The DELF is a French language diploma awarded by the French Ministry of Education, that is valid for life and internationally recognized. Students of FPS can take it here in Australia because the language centre Alliance française de Melbourne is organising them. There are multiple levels of DELF (from beginner to advanced) according to the levels of the European framework for languages. Teachers at the school are able to orient students in choosing the DELF that best suits them, and train them in class to ensure their success. Furthermore, those exams are adapted to young ones as they are fun and colorful.

Why take the DELF?

The DELF is the perfect option for pupils in bilingual schools / following a French program. It is the way for them to get a French diploma attesting their knowledge and bilingualism. Also, kindly note that a DELF B2 is required in order to study in France. We recommend for students to take the smallest DELF levels first to get acquainted with the exam, and be reassured before taking the ones of higher level further on during their journey. It also helps measuring their progress, passing the different DELF levels is shown to bring great motivation!

How much does it cost?

Kindly find the fees for each DELF below (GST included). The Prim (up to Y6) version of this exam can be taken in June and the Junior one (from Y7) in May & November. The exam takes place at the Alliance Francaise.
