Grade 5
Students have started to explore the concept of Light. Check out our images from our investigation on how light travels in straight lines. We also learnt that when light reflects off a mirror, it creates a reflectional ray of the opposite angle!
Grade 6
Students have begun consolidating their learning on Matter. Icy poles, water, wax and chocolate are examples of reversible matter. They can move into a different state of matter and reverse back into their original form. Students melted chocolate and then froze the chocolate particles to see how this process of reversibility works. Iden and Nash have done a brilliant job on their Reversible Changes to Chocolate poster to share with you.
Grade 1
We've been looking at how the properties of materials can change when they are mixed and then recording our observations.
Foundation
Our focus has been on our 5 senses and how they help us learn new things and keep us safe. We’ve used popcorn to test our senses and recorded our observations in a table.
Donations needed
We are after your takeaway plastic containers! Specifically like the image below with lids. Please send them along to school cleaned. There is a box outside the Foundation rooms for donations.
